Just look at Bruce Springsteen, playing with his childhood hero. He'd grin around his head if he could.

Santana cover of that song is just awful.

It's hard to find a more diverse band than Blondie - they could jump from punk rock straight to reggae. Also, Debbie Harry.

Daily Knopfler - Down to the Waterline, first song from the Dire Straits album. Shame they ignored stuff from their earlier albums down their path.

Not Beck's song, but he made it famous.

I'd say that's an ultimate dad rock performance, not to mention awesome overload. First of all, there are three legendary Yardbirds guitar players on stage (Clapton, Page, Beck). Second, Jimmy Page is so blitzed he actually gets unplugged at some point (check Andy Fairweather Low trying to calm him down at the beginning). Third, they are playing a real rock classic. Fourth, Ray Cooper is playing the fucking gong. Fifth, Andy Fairweather Low and Steve Winwood. The list could go on.

The lyrics come straight from a 12th century persian love poem (the same one Dominos' most famous song title comes from).

Two surviving members of Derek and the Dominos (Jim Gordon doesn't count) performing together after ~30 years.

Daily Knopfler - a nice early version of Romeo and Juliet, before Dire Straits went overboard with two keyboard players, saxophone, percussionists, trombone, a triangle and God only knows what else. (They were still awesome though.)

It's not dad rock if there's no Led Zeppelin.

Christ, Gallagher sounds a bit like Zed from the Police Academy movies
